Yeah, the accident in Pursat almost has to be it.

Three people died and 14 others were injured in Pursat province’s Bakan district on Saturday morning after they were thrown from a crude trailer and run over by a bus, officials said Sunday.

District police chief Neang Vuth said that 17 people had been riding in the wooden trailer, which was being towed by a tractor, on their way to a Buddhist ceremony when one of the tractor’s wheels fell off on National Road 5 in Snam Preah commune at about 8 a.m.......

Doesn't look like it to me. The first part of the video shows an RCAF tanker that has run over a motorbike and totally squashed one guy. he second part looks like some sort of trailer full of people hit a minivan.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

The articles I linked to describe a trailer being pulled that became detached and crashed, and then a big truck coming by and running over those same people.

Messy.

I was mainly referring to "natural instincts" regarding safety, but I agree "we" westerners are taught from a young age. Honestly though, I skipped out a lot on school and didn't take much of it seriously, so I missed out on a lot of "common sense" while growing up. Probably why my point of view is a bit uneducated and why I got myself into trouble a lot.

He's not a big guy, he could just be a gherkin...

And he never hangs around seedy places, so there's no way he's a dill pickle

I was an EMT in Alaska (delivered three babies, treated gunshot wounds, snowmachine accidents, car/truck accidents, frostbite, drug over doses, etc.), what really scares me here in Snookyville is that there is no real hospital with competent doctors and the best we have is CT clinic. At least in PP there is now the Royal PP hospital with Thai doctors, new equipment and connected to the Bangkok Hospital group, but that's 4 hours away.

The crazy way that the Cambodians drive doesn't help. In cities like PP and Snooky I blame it on the police for not enforcing the traffic laws. Everyone knows that they will hang out by a stoplight. They have motorbikes with red lights, how about patrolling and stopping the idiots that drive crazy, and impound the motorbikes of locals that don't have drivers licenses.

Since the new Sheriff came to Snooky, I do have a lot more cars/motorbikes stopping at red lights with me.
