Honda Super Chaly thread (Chaly restoration/modification)
Re: Honda Super Chaly thread (Chaly restoration/modification
Yep, that was a good read start to end. I wish I was as mechanically inclined as Akira. It looked like good fun.

Don't want to make you uncomfortable Akira, but you've inspired me. Bought a Daelim today in need of an overhaul, once I've made my workbench this will be the next project. Strip down, spray and lacquer, rebuild.

Looks like fun Stroppy, always good to see people getting into projects
Re: old bike, hard for me to tell, but the body somewhat resembles the classic Honda Dream but the motor tells me 2 stroke. Not sure. Actually, I'm going to say it's an old Benly 150 with CD90 front suspension fitted to it.
UDPATE ON THE BIKE:
After the first tank of fuel, I've manage to snap the rear retaining ring off. One the way home on a WOT "run", the retaining ring gave way and the drive gear came off. I purchased a new retaining clip and that one has now given way too. In other words, the Chaly wasn't meant for this much power, so I keep breaking it.
I'll update when/if I figure a solution to fix this.
