Homeless German Man Begging Cambodians for Food

Homeless German Man Begging Cambodians for Food

Cambodia News: A Cambodian with a kind heart has posted a call for help on social media after meeting a homeless German man. The German begged him for food and said that he was homeless, but is sleeping at Uknalorm pagoda. The man said he tried to contact the German embassy for help, but he had no money.

Thavvirak Buth posted this on December 22, 2018, saying:
- I felt that it was hard to be homeless in other country. Please if anyone can help him go home, he needs help.

So, if anyone knows this man, or would like to help him, contact Thavvirak Buth on FB. Any Germans reading this could also attempt contact their embassy with this story.

This bloke has been around street 172 area for months. Always seems to have money for beer. Seen him asleep in various places.

Interesting you should say that. Strange how 172 punches above its weight in terms of characters or somewhat noteworthy people ending up online. The number 1 people watching street for sure.

This guy looks a bit like Manfred from the same area. Haven't seen him in at least a year. He was rarely short of a beer and used to sleep among four different pagodas, apparently. The old barang can collector.

Yep, been around for decades. Doesn't hurt a fly, no nuisance to other people. Most likely always a beer in hand. Seen yesterday on riverside. Ordnung muss sein. Vorsprung durch Technik.
