Have you ever seen a passable lady-boy in Cambodia? Some of them in Thailand are quite beautiful.

Was once waiting for a taxi at Nana in BKK when I heard someone talking to me; I turned around to see a cute lady-boy in a pink dress.

I chatted it up with 'her' for a few minutes, and I had never really talked to a LB before in BKK, but found it funny that the one I ended up having a conversation with was from Battambong. She got misty eyed and was clearly homesick when I spoke my few bits of khmer with her.

Most of the LB I have seen on the hustle are a bit scary to me and seem pretty aggressive. I had one pulling on my arm in, so I said I would go inside to take a look only (was curious) and then she aggressively laid it out that I was to buy her a drink immediately. I said, no, I just wanted to see. She pushed me and threw the menu card at me that she was waving in my face.

For the uninitiated, it makes me nervous to enter that fray of hostess bars and such, its all so aggressive I don't know how to deal with it.

Never saw any hostesses or lady boys at Nana BTS skytrain stop despite being famous for such things.

Of course I wasn’t bothering to look.

And was armed with taxi girl repellent.

I think he waited at the Nana hotel, the parking lot is a well-known pick-up place for lady boys.
