I think you're absolutely correct. Your post was completely irrelevant.

I am from bromsgrove, the name kind of gives it away, and its not a bad place so dont know what the 'poor lad' comment is about??

Either way, has anything been reported or updated over there? or has it all gone quiet?
Are the Dad's businesses still trading or not?

according to the news here, he's admitted the chargers but the potency has been amended to try and make it a more serious charge?

Holy shit! He won't do that again. (At least not until he's about 85.)

Wow, so Lance Whitmore got 50 years in the Bangkok Hilton with no chance of parole. That sucks.

Here are some quotes from his father, Russell Whitmore, who shockingly runs a bar in Pattaya:

"I was in court for the sentence.

"I was hoping for a much shorter sentence and I'm totally devastated.

"It's horrendous.

"We are trying to organise an appeal but the British Embassy is next to useless.

"It is scared of the Thai Government.

"Lance is doing dreadfully inside.

"It's worse than a POW camp.

"Conditions are even worse than they were 10 months ago.

"There are cockroaches everywhere and they feed the prisoners rotten rice and fish heads.

I travel ten to 12 hours every week just to take him some proper food.

"I gave him two towels which he was sleeping on but the guards took them away because they said he was too comfortable.

"All the prisoners have to sleep on a concrete floor.

"It's inhuman.

"He was set up by secret police.

"They go around targeting tourists in bars and offering them drugs.

"It's entrapment.

"It's been a horrendous ordeal for the whole family."

His dad is a fucking idiot, and I believe the main reason Lance is as fucked as he is in this case is probably because of a direct result of the way he father handled the whole thing. I remember he came here on CEO and threatened many members with physical violence, while also seeming to lie to us by telling us his son was innocent, LoL.

He also calls the British Embassy "next to useless" in the above quotes. Is he stupid? Lance needs their help to file an appeal within 30 days. Couldn't he have waited to call them useless until after his son didn't need their help any longer?

Based on the things he said in the above article and the things he said here, I have no doubt he rubbed everyone wrong that he came in contact with over Lance's case and probably cost him a good deal.

I expect a suicide attempt within 7 days after he gets nowhere with an appeal.

Oh, and if you want to try and help get Lance home, his family has started a Facebook page to help them raise money for his appeal:

Someone on the Facebook page claims that they king's granddaughter was involved in this drug case. Did I miss that before, or is that some wild speculation or something?

Debbie has asked me to relay this message to you all.........It is understandable that you are all horrified by the court's excessive and
inappropriate sentence dished out at today's decision and the injustice of it. It is also understandable that you wish to vent your anger at the"the pack of wolves" in other social media pages that were responsible in publishing it to gain a "story/reaction" But please bear in mind that whilst you are indulging in arguing with "ill-informed posters " on other pages, it is paramount that we keep our minds focused on what is needed to try and overcome and overturn this . It is important that you take a step back and think of the potential consequences that could lead from innapropriate comments made in the heat of the moment, as it could reflect upon Lance's appeal procedures. Allow Nathan (lawyer) to have the best chance, without hinderance. ... Having been in conversation today with one of the advisory authorities regarding the case. It was suggested by them, that previous media coverage in the case, could have played a part in the outcome of the trial. Remember ....the Kings granddaughter was involved ( changed at the last minute- in what we conceive and believe to be an attempt to combat the media attention already given in the run up to the trial) Today's conversation also contained a sentence that made me sit up and think about its content... it went.........." There is a fine line regarding media coverage, it can be
productive, yet it can also be destructive" "You need to understand that sentences are carried out by judges, and not by the media"
"Especially if the foreign country feels threatened with overseas bullying tactics caused by the media" ..........Those statements struck a
chord.. So please act cautiously. Please try to think what Debbie and Russ must be going through, and of course Lance . They are all
absolutely devastated beyond belief. Focus your minds on helping them and Lance. We are all shocked, and saddened by this news. It
is more important than ever that this group stays together and keeps strong and supports Lance, Debbie and Russell in the way forward.
Please do not expect too much information at this stage, as Debbie is completely distraught, and is in no fit state to make comments on
here. She is being pressured using hard tactics by the said media into making statements on their channel and has been advised by Nathan
to keep things brief . Events are in Nathan's hands and are taking place to the next stages as you read. Authorities and the correct channels and procedures are being adhered to. So please focus on Debbie and her family. ....Research shows that mothers experience a tremendous sense of loss when incarceration occurs and that loss is compounded when children are involved, and even further compounded when they are in a distant far-away place, without access to regular visits. So support Debbie in this extremely sad and stressful time.

He's a drug dealer, deserves everything he gets in my opinion, rather than any sympathy

What a shame he doesn't like Thai prison :D , maybe he should have though of the possible consequences of his actions beforehand perhaps ??
