Help! My friend (PIERS SWORD) is missing in Cambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Not to sound to callous but
35 years old and out of touch with his mom for 5 days>>>

could he just be blowing off some steam in a fascinating ew country?

It's a little more than that. He's recently been suffering quite severely with depression (which is completely new to him). He's well travelled but recently, a VERY big change in personality. You're right, we wouldn't normally worry like this but it's a very different scenario due to recent changes in his life.

Thanks again for your support. Do reach out if any of you have any information.

This thing made it even to the news:
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

Thank you all for your help.

We've been able to find him and or organising the Cambodian police and British consulate to go out to him. This was off the back of posting in this forum so again, thank you!

Yes. This forum. And I think to just be open and quick about it. I was a little concerned about being so honest in previous posts but it's really helped get the message out there.
