So, I haven't been on in a while... but...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Skimming the news section I'm seeing a theme... lots of Russians getting popped for shit in Sihanoukville. Is there some sort of anti-ruski crackdown happening there? Or are they just getting more out of control than usual?

I was going to say "both", but I think WJ got it nailed - cause and effect. :hattip:

Latest update was 1 in jail and 1 on Twitter. However, the saga continues, so stayed tuned for the next episode.

Sihanoukville police chief has just been fired. Sar Keng gave a speech saying he has been "asleep in the province" and that the police force was weak. The Govenor may be next to lose his job. he even admits that hes made mistakes

Very interesting.
Things are moving.
Contacted shortly after his transfer made news Thursday morning, Brig. Gen. Narin said that he would be officially instated Monday, and would take a hard line against criminals operating in the coastal province.

Promotion to a desk in PP. Well done.
(I imagine his bank acct goes with him.)
As for Brig. Gen. Kosal, who could not be reached Thursday, Gen. Sopheak said that he would be transferred to a new role in Phnom Penh.

“He will become deputy chief of a department at the Ministry of Interior,” he said. “But I don’t know which department.”

Talk about a game of musical chairs. Someone who was asleep in Snooky is replaced by someone who is usually asleep in PP.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
