Have You Met Anyone Famous

Post by YORKIE »

December 1989, Panama City. US invasion of Panama, operation Just Cause. The US military invaded Panama City to apprehend General Manuel Noriega. Roberto Duran was moved by the military into the apartment next to mine. As his own apartment over looked the Vatican Embassy where Noriega took refuge. The language barrier was a pain but we became good friends. Surely you guy's have meet someone more famous than I.

I've met Jamie Lambo. He's a famous boxing guy from Lincolnsomething in the UK. There's videos of him boxing on Youtube. I even shook his hand (haven't washed it since).

I have met with the late Eddy Wally, dubbed as The Voice of Flanders. Flemish singer/actor, selling handbags at the local markets too , prolly only very few here know him, he was a very unique singer with shitty songs. An artist that had an unintentionally high humor level , people in their seventies and eighties took him for real... He was great though!

I actually don't give a flying fuck, furthermore nice to meet you all here! :thumb:

I've never heard of Roberto Duran but that's an interesting story. I've known and met a few famous people. Not hugely famous but let's say household names in many places. I'm a discreet type of person though and I respect people's privacy so I'm not going to tell you who. 8-)

I've bumped into or met:

Martin Sheen
Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt
Kirk Douglas
Tupac (2 weeks before he was shot and killed)
Kiefer Sutherland
Nikki Nikki
Laura Mam
Dy Saveth
Meatloaf (before they made it big, I think, I was young)
Hulk Hogan

... And I'm sure more I can't think of right now ...

Some normal, some great!

Choose good places to go to, have some taste, some wit, get invited ...
Melvin Udall: Never, never, interrupt me, okay?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.
