Redistribute Resources! Now! I think one of the Marx Brothers said that...
The youth wing of the Swiss social-democrat party proposed capping executive pay at 12x that of the median average employee in that corporation. So if the average worker earns $50,000 the CEO can earn no more than $600,000. It went to a referendum (because Switzerland has a participatory democracy with genuine input) and was voted down.

I hope they have success with this in the future.

I don't follow. Oligarchy is the rule of the few, democracy is the rule of all with the entire population having (hypothetically) equal input. Plenty of electoral democracies devolve into oligarchies with dynastic governments, suggesting that they are not genuine democracies. A genuine democracy should be much more inclusive and representative. They're opposites, antonyms.

Well, the "good news" is that the Rich suffer and die like the rest of us. Their wealth cannot really protect them from disease, sickness, old age and death and a host of other misfortunes that generally befall humans.

It's the same with fame and celebrity. No matter how talented and well-known you are, there's no guarantee of happiness.

As the song written by Kerry Livgren goes:

"Now don't hang on. Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.
It slips away and all your money won't another minute buy..."

^ that's a nice, hippy-drippy view on things. It's also absolutely wrong. The fact is, the winner in life is the one who, over his lifetime...

a) scored the most and hottest chicks

b) accumulated the most tangible assets and net worth

...and that's not just me saying that. That's science.
