When I listen to the (Americans) proponent of guns their justification is usually a long the line of 'for my own and family safety.' Granted, a handgun, and maybe a rifle should be sufficient. But a lot of it seems, basing from reading and observation, they are obsessed. The redneck from the Duck Dynasty is fine example, they take joy shooting harmless animals simply because the animal irritates them. I would not doubt people like this would have no problem pulling the trigger to human being as well.

Flying Chicken: I wouldn't have any problem firing on some who was going to do me and/or my family harm. Be that a criminal or the corrupt American police. (Turn about is fair play as they tried to kill me twice.) I have never shot (while hunting) a bird on the ground, but a flying chicken/bird has always (in season) been fair game. I love to eat roast wild duck and dove, there is no finer eating.

Don't equate the dip-sh*ts from Duck Dynasty with the rest of the American firearms owners and hunters as they do crazy sh*t for the cameras and $$$. (and laugh all the way to the bank.) Its the same with the Dip-Sh*ts on that stupid show Bering Sea Gold. I lived in Nome and those people are idiots and most aren't even residents.

Justify owning firearms? Well at least we don't/didn't get down on our knees to take a suction off our politician's Johnson-rod when they try to take our Second Amendment rights away like they did in the recent past in Australia. (England and people in Europe lost their rights years ago.) The nice thing about American's right to keep and bear arms is its our law and there isn't dick anyone in a country that lost there rights can do except jack their jaws about it.

Go back and review your reading and your observations are faulty. I'm honored that my forefathers took up arms at places like Lexington and Concord to throw the undesirables out of what became my country, and much later on we were able to keep places like England from having to learn German as a national language. BTW/ at the start of WWII, America had to ship firearms to England as they had either melted them down after WW1, didn't allow the populous to own them or lost them at Dunkirk. I have an Enfield designed, Savage arms manufactured #4 mark 1 Rifle that didn't make it to England as the war ended. (its marked "US Government Property.)

In WWII a Jap Admiral said that he was afraid that if they invaded America that there would be a sniper (good ol' boy) behind every three.

In historical context, America has done a lot of goods. Men sacrificing their lives for the good of the nation. But the topic here is firearms. In the contemporary America, gun trades are one of the biggest businesses and among the individuals, the more powerful the better. Like you said it yourself, your custom made guns are big values in the market. So I suppose those who interested in this kind of thing bought it for novelty? Testing out guns or do at as a hobby at testing sites cant go for long, you will get bored eventually. Just like addicted gamers switching to newer games after they get bored of the old ones.

A look at the statistics on the gun crimes in the US is frightening. I know you are not fond of Obama, but even his administration expressed concerns with the recent mass shootings in public areas, not to mention the gun related crimes on the streets of the US every day. How do you define Americans? Those living more than 10 years and have citizenship but cant even speak a lick of English; China towns are a good example. All I am saying America then is starkly different than America now since you sound proud and patriotic.

In most Hollywood movies, esp action ones, guns are always portray means of safety and actions. The directors consciously or unconsciously are portraying the reality of America today. In term of Australia and New Zealand you rarely hear of gun violence -- hell even cops in NZ dont carry guns, just handcuff and baton.

All in all, I hate to live in a place where without owning a gun will make me feel unsafe.

I didn't say "custom guns." The ones that I mentioned that I sold were bolt action rifles from Finland that were an original Russia design or manufacture. Mosin-Nagant model 92 and 91/30. Custom, no way, old, military and collectable, yes.

"Testing out guns or doing as a hobby at testing sites can't last for long." I guess your right on this one as its only lasted me the 50+ years I've been collecting/shooting. (got my first rifle/shotgun at 9 years old and was shown gun safety the first thing.) What the heck is a "testing site." This kind of shows your ignorance on the subject, go back and do more reading as that's all your country will let you do. Don't equate me to lazy drones that set before TV screens day after day.

Obama-Iben-Lying is an attorney as is his wife and loads of politicians. Its in their best interest and the interests of their masters at the Bar Associations to pass laws like the firearms exclusion zones. These zones attract crazys as they know no one can protect themselves there. The corporations in America that are run by attorneys love to let non-English speaking illegal aliens into America for cheap labor. Come to America pop a kid out, he's an American and your set for life as is your extended family that illegally invaded my country. Prisons in America are corporate growth industries. America the land of the not so free has more people in jails/prisons per capita than any other country on earth thanks to the attorneys/bar associations.

The media and statistics in America are owned by the attorneys and their Bar Associations/private-club. They are scared sh*tless of armed private citizens, and for good reason as its not going to be too long before Americans have had enough of them. An example is look at the federal militarization of the police in America, the attorneys/political-scumbags know what's coming.

Movies are made to make money. If you view that as real America your a fool. I love to watch some dip-sh*t firing a pistol and holding it sideways, only in Hollywood, although the Isreali Massad has a drill where they hold the pistol sideways so that they can load mag after mag and spray an area with bullets in a short time, but they are pros not some hack actor/movie producer.

The difference between a citizen and a serf is the right to keep and bear arms. The dead Jew's in Nazi Germany didn't have the right to keep and bear arms. The dead Russians that Stalin killed by the millions didn't have the right to keep and bear arms. You got to love the Jews/Isreali's. The only country on earth were motorists pick up armed hitch-hikers. (soldiers.) My kind of people, someone shoots at you or fires a rocket at your family, you shoot/ fire ten rockets at them. They even let their women drive/shoot tanks, but this could be dangerous.

Answer me this. A felon comes into your house to steal, kill you and rape your wife/kids. Which would you rather have, a gun to defend your family or a phone to call the police who may or may not be too busy to get there within an hour? BTW/ I'm glad you don't live in America as "we threw our undesirable out in 1776." (Quigly, in the great movie Quigly Down Under.)

lol, I meant to say shooting range. You are right, I know heck all about gun, never even held one in my life. Maybe my dislike of firearms was the experience of my nephew who gotten into gun/gang related crimes at a young age -- Asian gang fights thing in Boston which landed him in prison. Werent he a juvenile at that time, who knows, he probably got deported
