This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Agree, just a happy post. But please, please stop using Fahrenheit, means absolutely nothing to most of the world (includin Cambodia).
People don't understand Fahrenheit 7/16 of the time.

Agreed...Fahrenheit makes zero sense.
100°C = Boiling point of water
0°C = Freezing point of water
Regardless....enjoy the beers
And everyone understands that anything under 0c is brass monkeys, 0 degrees is bloody cold, 10c is a bit nippy, 30c is stinking hot and 40c is fuckoff hot.

It's intuitive and easily understood.
Don't forget the humidity level. 30c at 20% is fine. At 80% it is a different story.
Only idiots choose to live where it reaches 40c.
Thanks, I have no issues with being called an idiot, as long as the discussion is fact based - however, top temperatures of 40°C is for sure nothing, anybody properly acclimatized should have any issues with - except he is going for a marathon at noon...
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over
In the UK, people and newspapers would use Fahrenheit to talk about hot temperatures (it's in the 90's today) but always use Celcius to talk about cold temperatures (it will be below zero)

Usually the highest temperatures of the day aren't recorded at noon but 2-3 hours later because the heat builds up during the day.
Here in the Northeast we have daily highs of 41 degrees @ 40% humidity giving an experienced temperature of mid forties It has been pretty darn hot here for the last few weeks. From 11 till 18 hours you better keep a long siesta.
