So many Happy New Years in Cambodia - International, Chinese and Khmer are celebrated with gusto - who cares why it's party time and holidays.
However, (for those who are new here), although Chinese New Year is not officially a holiday in Cambodia, a lot of shops are shut today already and the markets are deserted. Also special CNY (high) prices for everything, from fruit and veges to transport and accomodation.

Lancashire. Red Rose Man. Family goes back to the original Anglo Saxon invasion settled first in what was then Mercia. The ancient family home is still there in Aughton. Sadly, we are all peons.
