Re: Happy 420!!
So 420 is marijuana day? I'm sorry if my question offend you, but I just want to know your idea. Do you have any idea why people in your country and Europe like smoking? I saw many people in Sweden smoke include women. I think people in developed country do care about their healthy, but I wonder why they smoke? Or because of the cold weather?MekongMouse wrote:
Most places let you smoke cigarettes in public, but not outside doorways or inside buildings. A few states allow smoking in bars and restaurants. No states allow smoking marijuana outside of either your home or private clubs setup for that purpose. However enforcement varies. In my state, the fine for smoking in public is $27 and only 80 or so people have been fined in the past two years and they were all homeless and 70% were black, so the city of Seattle has stopped issuing tickets until they can get their racist cops under control. So the status now is that until that is fixed, nobody is being ticketed. I smoke in public all the time

Re: Happy 420!!
Doesn't offend me at all. People in the US don't really care about health, that's why we have so many obese people. Smoking weed isn't healthy, but 420 is more about advocating personal freedom than claiming it is healthy. Alcohol and cigarettes are unhealthy, but legal, because ultimately people have the choice to determine what goes into their body. I don't really care if people want to smoke or not as long as they accept my right to do so.

Re: Happy 420!!
People smoke marijuana because it gets them stoned. This is like a dizzy happy feeling and not so dangerous like some other drugs. Unlike alcohol, for example, it's almost impossible to die from it, unless a giant block of it falls on your head or you are so dizzy that you cause an accident or something. However, it can make people very lazy.

Its a make believe holiday in the minds of teenagers and people who never grew up stuck in 13th grade. Marijuana is a gateway drug and unfortunately leads to a large majority of people to start trying other drugs. I had some fun smoking weed but the last year or so of me smoking it became very boring and sad to say the least.
There are pros and cons to everything. Decriminalizing it is a good idea if someone has a small amount on them. I dont think someone should be in jail for having a dime bag on them...thats downright stupid. Out right legalizing it? No way.
Its illegal for many different reasons...1 big reason is its hard to tax since you can grow it.
Smoke what? weed or cigarettes? Americans dont really smoke cigarettes as much in the past but I see many many Europeans smoking and when I was in Canada I think every other person was lighting up.
Do you think if Khmer people started smoking weed will make them stronger or weaker as a people? Anndddd Their is your answer.

Gateway drugs are tobacco and alcohol , these are usually the first illegally used drugs by under aged kids.... The Add Jay is wrong to say that , I bet the first recreational drug he used was alcohol?

You dont get high off cigarettes Maybe light headed at times. I consider Alcohol to be in a separate category then the rest. But I get where you are coming.General Chatter wrote:Gateway drugs are tobacco and alcohol , these are usually the first illegally used drugs by under aged kids.... Re: Happy 420!!
Cambodia should start producing and exporting it to the US....outdoor weed has a tiny carbon footprint than indoor grown ...it would I think generate income for poor rural Cambodians ....and would have many more 420 visitors who would come for the 420 and then discover so much more in Cambodia...

Agreed. There was actually a great high times article in the 90s that talked about Cambodia as a toker's paradise, alas much has changed.General Chatter wrote:Cambodia should start producing and exporting it to the US....outdoor weed has a tiny carbon footprint than indoor grown ...it would I think generate income for poor rural Cambodians ....and would have many more 420 visitors who would come for the 420 and then discover so much more in Cambodia...
