Golden lion plaza sold to the Chinese.
It seems that Golden Lion Plaza (aka Pub St) in Sihanoukville has been sold to the Chinese for $120000 with the 9 bar owners offered $6000 each, nice payday for the leaseholder.

For 120K USD I highly doubt the plaza has been sold, the lease changed hands maybe?

so they paid $120,000 PLUS offering another $54,000 for current leases, how long are most leases valid for there?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

The 120k was total with 6k given to each bar owner, 22 months left on the lease. Some bar owners are far from happy.

far from happy is right, with the amount of effort put into the bar all these years, but look at times ahead of losses, they should be happy instead, some places dont even compensate, they just get back what ever deposit and told to fuck off

2 years left on a fairly solid lease is why they were made the offer.
