Going to Sihanoukville in end of June

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I think he's referring to the Universal Excremental Scale

5 Totally shit/ I stay on the bus, forget about us, buy a return ticket
4 Very smelly shit / I feel like throwing up
3 Smelly shit/ I gotta complain
2 Less than pleasant shit/ I can't hide that I know about it
1 Borderline/ I can pretend to ignore that shit

It was normal in 1996 when it was a sleepy coastal town. Foreigners barged into that deep sleep and by 2000 it was a nightmare. Gone for good-rip little village.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

When was Sihanoukville normal?

It all started to go downhill after Roddy the mad Scotsman moved in.

It's been Cambodia's primary sea port city since the French started building it in the 50s. It's never been a sleepy village. Admittedly the Ochheuteal end was a bit sleepy as it wasn't populated. Shv is like every port city in the world
