Getting my passport out of immigration office

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Getting my passport out of immigration office

Post by talltuktuk »

I gave my passport to an agent (friend of some Khmer friends who trusted him) on Mar 30 to get my EB EOS. The agent assured us he would have it back to me by the 17th even despite KNY. It’s now the 18th and I have a flight booked out of the country for the 20th. I’m currently pressuring him to fix this and get my passport back.

If he can’t/doesn’t, can I go to the Immigration office in PP and get it out myself? I thought I remember reading that this can be done but I can’t find the post now.

I don’t even care if the EOS is done, I just want my passport back so I don’t lose all the money on the tickets I booked. I can start over again when I get back.

Just go and try your luck. There won't be a lot of immigration people working there I guess, most of them will still be out in the provinces or on the way back, but worth a shot.

Just an update...

I leaned on the agency pretty hard and they magically got my passport finished and released in 12 hours.

Take no bullshit.
