Getting home - urgent help please

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Damn. Only just checked earlier, too. I am (was) due to travel on April 4th, so that sucks.

Check the IATA website https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/intern ... 226297.htm
Your best bet would be through Taipei (for now) as most direct, fastest w transit not affected (for now).

I'm flying from PP on Friday to Glasgow, stop in Bangkok then change in Dubai. Is it true that I do not have to get off the plane in Bangkok? As I heard I need a medical certificate now if going through bangkok

It's not rocket science, is it? IF you want or need to leave for whatever destination for whatever reason, DO IT TODAY, as tomorrow your plans might be blocked for whatever reason to whatever destination. It's that volatile, at the moment.

Whether you agree or disagree with the measures taken is totally irrelevant; the fact is that these measures are taken and they can change within the next 24 hours.

So, any question on this forum of the kind "Can I still go here?", "Can I still do that?", "Is it possible to do such and so?" are plain dumb as nobody can give you a legitimate answer.

Effective about 50 minutes ago, Thailand has said you need health insurance and some kind of medical certificate even to do transit through Thailand. Your airline would be the definitive source for your question and also likely to be the enforcer.

I just left Vietnam 2 days ago back to Canada via HK and they are (currently) even more restrictive than Cambodia. HK just implemented 2 weeks mandatory quarantine for anybody arriving. Glad I got the fuck out before that. Now I am essentially doing the same thing on my own. For anyone looking to get home, forget about next week or even tomorrow. If you can, GO NOW! Its only going to get worse.
