Geordie Thread

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Geordie Thread

Post by TOG »

Due to the unusual number of mind blowing horror pictures the General has allowed recently, I thought it time for culture. Geordies deserve their own thread ( and a bit of cotton to mend their clothes would not go amiss ).

Geordie from South Africa ( I have to get my head around that one ) has arrived in PP and I am sure he would want to show the natives a bit of Newcastle culture.

Apart from some of the best chat up lines in the world, Geordies are renowned for many talents such as singing, partying and are very religious. Not content with the Sabath, they can also be seen preying on their friends as well.

The classic clip of Gazza showing the world what real singing is.

I am honored. No, really.

EDIT:

So the story goes like this:

My Grandfather was born beneath the river Tyne back before the war, and he had two sons. And the younger son came to be my father.
They were both strong-willed individuals with great hearts and they were both proud of their country.

I have served with Geordies in the army, worked with Geordies in civvy street and can honestly say that they have the best sense of humour in the world. They can laugh at anything especially them selves. Great pals but with the physical deformity of short arms and trousers with long pockets.

I know that not many people can understand the accent but there are some TV programs that are worth watching and explain it all. First one is Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and of course Geordie Shore.

Compulsory viewing for anyone with a sense of humour failure.

What was the name of the movie ?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Someone from Tyneside. Very easy to spot in a pub. They are the ones who go to the toilet when it's their turn for a round or eat the food off your plate when you are not looking.
