Gas Canister at Cam's Burrito Cart on Street 172 Explodes, Injuring the Owner (Lisha)

Post by General Mackevili »

Looks like she's gonna live. Says she's lucky to be alive, but I imagine things like this can seem more dramatic than they actually were when they happen to you.

"I would like to say Big Thanks to family, friends and neighbor business owners (especially Rustic restaurant owner and my best girlfriend Somnang) for saving me from fire with love and care. My burrito stall and I got burn cuz of gas stove exploded but I am very lucky to be alive, even tho I'm in major pain and my peepz asked me to rest and take it easy til I'm heal but I am ready to fight back with whatever life has bringing me and willing to get back to business and work very soon. I got reason to be live and stay alive, I am fine and I am a strong woman. Thank you for be there for me and saving my life."

She's Cambodian, so I don't get her "best Mexican burrito by a Cambodian? Hell nah..." tagline.

Investigations show that the most problems are caused by a overlarge cooking container placed on top, which spreads the gas flame outwards , and over the top of the gas container fuel supply.

A gentle reminder of the accident that happened to the mother of my girls about 6 years ago.

It is not the rusty old gas canisters that is the cause of the problem in most cases.,,,, In Australia there were several incidents of gas explosions where the stove and the cylinder were brand new. As I said before, investigations showed that the cause of the problem was a over large container for cooking was placed on the stove, and the flame, [ on full ] spread outwards over the gas canister, thereby heating it up. You cannot buy or refill those gas cyl in Australia, and , I am not sure if it has happened yet, but they were going to ban sales of those cookers, that were sold in many camping shops. I even have one myself [ in storage ] in preparation for an emergency.
