Gas Canister at Cam's Burrito Cart on Street 172 Explodes, Injuring the Owner (Lisha)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Hopefully yes. But those "sunburn" areas of skin may develop into widespread blisters over the next few days. It could look a lot worse before it starts to improve.
Best wishes and speedy recovery. Amazing first message she sent out after her accident. It really demonstrated the positive and determined attitude of many small business owners in Cambodia.

I'd be most worried that my eyes wouldn't have enough reaction time to close, blinding me.

Exactly right - I think the maximum recommended pot diameter is 200mm. Cartridges equipped with countersunk release vents (CRV)are the best bet in these stoves as when they overheat they don't explode, they still burn but the gas is released in a controlled manner (see video below). I don't know if they are available here though. Refilled old style cartridges go for around 1100 riel which makes them a very attractive proposition, but you never know how many times they have been refilled or been around.

After spending a fortune on spray on something and creams for several months after it happened, she is perfectly OK . No scars even.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
