My Friend Might Be Cambodia's Next Top Model

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Sure, Richard, but life isn't a fairy tale and most girls grow up to realize that meeting Prince Charming is not necessarily what they want or should aspire to.

I'm not sure whether those girls have grasped the notion that modeling isn't just about looking pretty but is about attitude and having the confidence in going out of the comfort zones (semi-nudes, showing skin, undress with little privacy when changing outfits, etc.).
I saw only one candidate who has that "modeling" vibe

Kmao peet, ot sa'at! I've noticed several girls don't even know how to pose for pictures, but on average, I'd say Cambodian girls know more about body positioning for pictures than western girls. Simple stuff like being sideways, lifting a leg up slightly, straight back/confident, putting your face at an angle that looks good etc. Even the ugliest girl can look decent by following a few simple rules.
Except for the new Korean trend. Makes girls look like idiots. Equivalent to the western girls' duckface obsession.

[EDIT]Wow, I just noticed that girl is 168cm... Niiiiiice. Where is this competition taking place?

Well it can't be taking place in any Khmer bathroom, at that height.

Never liked them tall, myself. Takes longer to lie them down

I also prefer my women small esthetically speaking, but it looks weird when I'm walking down the street with a tiny Asian girl... I've actually never dated a tall one before, so I'm tempted by it. I have a tall one in my list of contacts though whom I should start working on. She's probably around the same: 165-170. Rare for Cambodian girls (especially for them to be a bit meaty and not just skin and bones).

Cambodian girls all "skin and bones"? Have you been here in the last 10 years? Where in Cambodia do you live exactly? The vast majority of Khmer women are decidedly on the "rounded" side these days with their increasingly junk food diets. Of course, not "fat" but many a bit pudgy ala Thailand. I see few skinny girls now, very few indeed. Vietnam still has many of that body type, but it is changing there as well. Sugar and fatty processed foods be a'comin'.

Which seems to include changing the pronunciation to a really annoying koREEEuh.
