Hmmm... I sort of forget about him. Age thing I think.MekongMouse wrote:I've always felt Justin Bieber was the quintessential Canadian crime against humanity.OrangeDragon wrote:it's true... we do love to laugh at canada.Milord wrote: Remember, The USA gets ALL their funny Talent from Canada. then again... they also sent us bryan adams... potentially an act of war.
Overall I'd call it a draw... though the two combined definitely justifies a few drones.

For sure, Eh? We love Maple Syrup on our Horses. I was just telling an American I met at the Bar that the bylaws were changingOrangeDragon wrote:That's weird... I never would have thought canadians capable of manufacturing anything other than pancake syrup and horses.Milord wrote:That's amazing. Not many Americans KNOW where Canada is. I'm not kidding.
But we get blamed a lot when you're COLD. Because we have the technology to manufacture COLD evidently.
to allow a 3 horse stable at the house, up from 2 in the City. To save Gas, a Horse Lane has been added next to the Bike Lane.
Manufacturing has moved to Mexico and China, because we just wash money now.
And rather than pancakes we eat French Toast. 90% of the Government is French speaking to support the 10% of the French-Canadian Population. I think we grow a bit of Wheat too. Oh, we manufacture water too but that goes South somewhere.
edit: Justin Bieber is an export for a reason.

It's interesting that you mention elections cause we're different than the States in that we really do have them on paper with an audit trail as compared to US "elections" where those [Romney] Electronic Voting Machines can Vote for you Automatically, no matter who you pick. That's amazing technology. Your IT Programmers can decide who wins. Great progress.OrangeDragon wrote:You guys have elections? I thought you raced dog sleds every year to chose the leader.
I heard that FLA was still counting votes from 2000.
Perhaps you will get to decide an election or two with your IT skills. But that depends on who can pay the most.

What's amusing is you just attacked digital voting and paper voting in the same post.
I mean, I get the paper thing... must be a lot easier to count votes in a country of 10 people. 2 of which are sled dogs.
Luddite fear mongering with the voting machines. You can fake a paper trail just as easy as, if not easier than, a digital one. I can't wait till everyone gets an app on their phone that takes their vote.

I disagree. No hanging chads.OrangeDragon wrote:What's amusing is you just attacked digital voting and paper voting in the same post.

Let me explain. Mark the paper (8x10), fill in square(s), then scan it for count> electronic tabulation. If it jams, breaks, whatever a paper backup exists.
In a purely electronic device with no backup, do you think that device could be hacked? Backdoor? Recounted?
I guess you don't want the job then. lol

Yes, they can. Physical circuits are generally even less secure than computer programs so long as physical access is possible.Milord wrote:I disagree. No hanging chads.OrangeDragon wrote:What's amusing is you just attacked digital voting and paper voting in the same post.

Easier to hide changes, hidden subroutines, etc in as well. Logic like "every 50 times you do X do Y". Then all you have to do is tweak the paper to match it. Duplicate (photoshop and color printers are amazing nowadays)the reports, throw away some ballots, or duplicate the ballot with new data... lots of options.

Pretty much. That's why vetting the people in charge of such things is what matters... not the technology used. The rest is just rabble rousing and headlines.Milord wrote:I'll take your word for it. So everything, anything can be compromised.

We could just get the UN to oversee all elections everywhere.
