For the CEO silent majority who have never posted - Hi !

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Why? I just like to read and follow threads about Cambodia and the life of expats here when I have free time / battery. I currently live in a village without electricity, so I charge my phone from a generator in the evenings.
I can't remember why I registered, but I think it was to post pictures from the fire at the old market when I lived in Phnom Penh.

For me it's mostly about entertainment. To read your discussions and disagreements (I must admit it is very friendly on this forum. The other one used to be very entertaining before the change of owners), just like reading a book or watching a movie. I don't want to commit my self and my time in joining a discussion here, as I might as well post something and not be back for a few days, which is killing the discussion, really.

So I guess this is my second post, and I don't think the count will rise very quickly in the future either.

Anyway thanks for a great forum, and keep on posting. We lurkers really appreciate it!
Good post! We, of course, would love to hear more from you, but lurkers are more than welcome! Image
I would be interested to hear how Virajoe's experience living in the province compares with Taabarang's.

Hi, Ive been an occaisional visiter since the late nineties and am coming out again, probably for an extended stay, in October, this forum, and 440 are both great sources of local, updated info, this is why I am here. I am not in the kingdom now and so feel adding stuff is irrelevant at best but what the hell, there are places one becomes attached to for various reasons and tend to come back to, India and Cambodia are such places for me, therefore am I here.

P.s. Thanks for all the great intel!

I don't want to sound too needy, but I need some feedback when I post totally random funny shit I find and choose to share it.

ie: "FAHfest" stuff called MUST BE SEEN ... DARWIN VS GOD., Only got 1 response: "funny", after 130 views.

or Kids in the Hall stuff called "Girl-Drink Drunk". Plus several other kith classic videos from the early '90s. Shown both in CAN and USA. 53 views, no feedback yet.

Several skits were banned in the US (only shown in Canada) because of nudity, religious jokes, or edgy subjects (ie: child abuse, drunks, gays). In fact those guys are on Tour again right now.

Sign Up and let me know what you like or I might not be bothered to "put out" posting. Too needy?

Remember, The USA gets ALL their funny Talent from Canada. (Actors would starve if they stayed in Canada.) ;)

That's amazing. Not many Americans KNOW where Canada is. I'm not kidding.

But we get blamed a lot when you're COLD. Because we have the technology to manufacture COLD evidently. :stir:

For the longest time I thought "Canada" was the British spelling of "Cambodia."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

That's weird... I never would have thought canadians capable of manufacturing anything other than pancake syrup and horses.

Our PM has proposed that we change the spelling of CANADA to CHINADA because he has sold all our assets to China, our Banks have

the best laundromat for Chinese money, Immigration is getting a High Speed Rail (Tunnel?) to China, Real Estate has banned the #4,

and he is trying to Win an Election.

I've always felt Justin Bieber was the quintessential Canadian crime against humanity.
