Fond Farewell

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Well, better that than "dearly beloved, we are gathered here..." !
What goes for samouth, goes for us - no drama then. All good.
Except... I can't help myself, it's too tempting. Warning graphic content: :beer3:

? Samouth is Khmer. He didn't grow up in some Western country where word play and puns were the norm. Why the criticism? I always found his posts very readable and refreshing. I will miss his input on this forum.

love him or hate him, Samouth has contributed a lot to this forum,
a lot of the newer posters might never have read the Khmer language + song lyrics threads that me and samouth + Little salary kept going a long time last year, amongst other threads, he is also a nice guy in person,
whilst his departure was a little dramatic some people need to grow up

At least when you announce your departure it spares us those threads about " whatever happened to whats-his-name?" Or, even worse, "OMG is he ok, has anyone checked to make sure he is still breathing somewhere?"

For sure, there are posters whose departure would not even be noticed, but Samouth was a big :Yahoo!: mouth/poster so whether you liked his posts or not, I think we'd notice that he had stopped posting. Whatever. I wish him well, and I hope he has better things to do than hang out here.

I prefer this version though: 8)

....whilst his departure was a little dramatic ...
a little, if u dont want to post dont post

He makes it out like it was a lifestyle choice posting here and takes up so MUCH time

Not too likely, if I decide to pick up my shit and go,I'll do so quietly. No prima donna last bows from me. If, however,

it will make you feel happy my posts have been shunned by another prominent Khmer poster, doubtless due to a sense of allegiance to the dearly departed.

Name and shame the bastard, I want to know who could be so arrogant on this site they could shun you and your posts.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
