FLOAT YOUR BOAT sunset cruise boat party, Sat 15th Nov

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Someone advised me in all seriousness once if I am ever on a sinking boat in Cambodia, swim away from the locals on the boat as possible, as they panic and try to use the big barang as a flotation device.

Yes,you should with everyone as if they cant swim they panic and will pull go under.its hard just with one person but if you have a few you are going under:(
i used to train horses, and i would swim with them but if you swim them too far out and they dont think they can get back onto land they will try and get on top of you.
anyway all boats should have life jackets of all sizes,if you cant swim than make sure you have one close,

We had an adult Rottweiler that used to climb into your arms like a baby if she was it if her depth. Many rotties don't float as their muscle density is too high, she would sink like a stone and always looked for an 'island' if forced to paddle.
