Payment is easy as you can pay Sinet and most other ISPs bills through PiPay (local mobile payment platform) or via banks own app (at least ABA and Sathapana has the option). If you go office then you can pay also cash and credit card.deviantinfamous wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 1:37 pm Hey man, I enjoyed your original post. I'm also moving to Cambodia in a few weeks.
Just wanna know more about how you got your internet connection. Was the transaction straightforward? And what payment methods does SINET accept?

They're a funny lot, Camborellas. I have a Cambodian female friend, and she knows I'm married and have kids, but she still keeps going on about "oh I really want to have baby" just with anyone, just for like something to do?! I play the straight bat, and keep things as they are, but it's amazing how easily they will come out out with things like "i can get you a girl, two, three," etc... nuts, but entertaining, all the same. I guess it's how Thailand used to be, before they had the BTS and smartphones.CamExpat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 12:42 pm So my heartfelt thanks to those concerned about my well-being and flagging the risks of dating bargirls. This is something every middle-aged, divorced, unattached male expat (and those attached or not divorced!) moving to Camnodia should have drilled into them before their visa is issued at the airport. I am new to cambodia, but I have been around Asia for a while now so I do have some awareness of this.

On the topic of my 2 dates; lots of wild speculation about them and my romantic life (I wish it were that exciting!).
My only real thought on this is: I'm guessing anyone here spending 3-4 hours talking to someone over dinner would be able figure out if that person was genuinely who they represented themselves to be or an uneducated fraud working semi-skilled employment.
The point of the anecdote wasn't that I was not dating bargirls; it was to amuse everyone with a mild warning that just because you you don't think your dating someone sketchy, it doesn't mean there won't be surprises.
I'm not like other boys...
