Why< cause one of my best friends lives there and charters his sailboat an it was on the way to kep.

everything according to my friend ( who has lived there 8 years now) has gone up. getting ripped off cause ur white

BTW went to Otres 2 an it was very nice an relaxing

I am sorry you're getting stick here, but Sihanoukville used to be a really cool place a few years back. Things have changed and developments have happened. Snookie lost its old market to fire and got a horrid metal one instead, Serendipity beach is now a developed concrete mess, etc, etc.

I think the biggest problem is the time of year, maybe you'll have a better time Jan, Feb, March. ///November isn't a good month for most places at the moment.

What gets me is why when one says something negative about a place, someone has to attack the poster, not defend the place?

Nov in Phuket is great, ( for some), personally i prefer May-Oct when the waves are rolling, not many tourists, sometimes rain but mostly sunny days and not that hot

I used to love Phuket pre-tsunami. Patong and Karon became loathsome after. They have turned them into a giant rip off machine. Most of the rest of the island is still sweet though. If I fly into HKT, I'm heading North. I far prefer Khao Lak and Krabi. I'm not sure if the changes to SV right now are for the better or worse. Anybody who thinks SV is a shithole, yet doesn't realize that PP is as well is a moron.
