I'm Finally Here!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I'm Finally Here!

Post by Ronny »

Hi guys! Well, I finally got here and got a hotel close to the Riverside area and now I'll have a million questions for you, lol. Now the big thing is getting that teaching job, and as many of you know, I have no degree and no TEFL so can any of you point me in the right direction as to what schools are the most "lenient" about qualifications? And the second thing is living. I don't mind living Khmer style and with a fan and I really would like to stay below the $200 mark (the cheaper the better). And I of course don't want to stay in the tourist areas but I can cross that bridge when I come to it. I really hope some of you guys can give me some good advice. Hope to hear from you soon!

You might want to try BELTEI.

You should try to find a job first, then rent something nearby.

Here's some FB groups you could try for job hunting. Sorry, I'm not a member so can't offer any opinion.

Notice the different spelling of the first two.
