I finally got to Cambodia to marry....annnnnd....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Tim Mathieson is actually Australian, so there is nothing to legally stop him and Julia Gillard residing together. Maybe one day they'll bring in stricter religious laws to stop such reprehensible behavior, but there's nothing that can be done for now.

I'm dealing with all this right now. I'm at the point where I've spent enough money that I don't want to give-up because then I'll have wasted all that money. But I'll still have to spend a lot more.

I got all the documents they asked for. I read the legal document on the website for the Minister of Foreign Affairs which said the first part will take "5 days", but then of course we go in and they say it will take 3 weeks, but if we pay $300 it will take 1 day. Obviously not much of a choice if we're working within a time constraint.
