Fillipino/Asian Scammers
If a stranger approach you and give an envelop that read 'Donation: Helping Poor Children'. Do everyone favor, tell them (her) to fuck off! Or an older man asking for help so he can get a bus ticket to Poipet or Phnom Penh to see his 'cousins/friends.'
Cheers
Cheers

Re: Fillipino/Asian Scammers
I sometimes see them (the women) on my way to and from work going place to place, but I never paid much attention. Up until today, one of them was on the Sok San road going store to store all the way down to my neighborhood. She passed an envelop while I was drinking the VN coffee with a friend, we politely said no...she walked away calling us cheap that we can not even afford to donate 100 riel.
Embarrassingly though, last week an old man in his 70s claiming he is Singaporean asked me for lunch money saying he hasn't eat in 4 days and bus ticket to Poipet, I gave all I got in my pocket which was around 5000 riel something. He managed to get another $6 out of me where I had to borrow a local mom n pop store owner, he tried to squeeze for more but when I sternly said NO, he biked away grinning. Early the next day, I learned he has been doing this all over town.

I'm surprised you'd fall for that, FC - you are too kind hearted if you borrow money to give to a beggar.
