Fiancé Visa for Cambodian > US

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. after that you can married in US ,and pullback his citizen
That’s not only illegal, but also difficult to get a tourist visa anyway. Don’t risk a 10 year visa ban by trying to get in the country on the wrong visa.

I wish you the best of luck in getting your fiancee to the US, if that's what your aim is. Also, if you need a friendly letter sent to the both of you, I would be happy to correspond. Send me your address in a PM, and I'm glad so many stepped up to give you sincere and well-intentioned advice.

Hired a lawyer. So far all I have got is a message that the application has been received. Of course, per lawyer’s advice and guidance, I sent a thick folder of evidence along with the application. Proof of relationship for last 2 years plus marriage, proof of income over the required limit, proof of work, proof of missus professional status (ie, she could get a job on arrival if need be), affidavits, letters of recommendation, etc.

Maybe immigration is still processing the kitchen sink I sent them.

K1 Visa is a little more difficult to get than a spousal visa. Why not just marry him and submit a spousal visa instead?

The wait ... is tough on both of us. But should be well worth it in the end.
The only people that should use lawyers are the ones with challenging cases, such as one of the people has been guilty of crimes in the past.

Otherwise, just read a free guide (like I posted) which tells you what to submit and the same thing the lawyer will tell you.

You need an employer to sponsor you for a work visa and special skills normally like a degree.

as others mention, they will want evidence of a genuine reltionship.
FB correspondence and photos together with dates can show this.
Not sure this is true FLB. OP, what documents does your foreign partner need to present in the USA in order to marry you?

Before you proceed, check if the documents required can be provided by the Cambodian government. There's some they won't issue (for instance: legalized single status), either because it's a gay marriage or because it's a marriage abroad. Even if you are able to obtain the visa this might block marriage in the USA.

When my wife got the paper confirming she was not married they don’t have any knowledge of who you intend to marry or in what country.

That won’t be an issue for him, however, I wouldn’t recommend him being very forthright if it came up in conversation when he’s getting the papers done.

If the USA will accept a (translated) version of the (single) document issued by the sangkat there will be no problem with that one. If the OP needs a legalized version from the MoFA there's a big problem because the won't issue it, no matter what. Not sure about the requirements in the USA, not even sure if all states have the same requirements. In my country a legalized (single) document from MoFA is a requirement so if he came from my country there would be no way he could get married there.
If I were the OP I would do some research on this before starting the visa procedure.
