Actually he had done nothing wrong before he left the country so nothing would have showed up. The failure here is when somebody is on felony probation they should make them surrender their passport. Only when he missed his first probation meeting would they have issued a warrant and then he would have been in Cambodia already.vladimir wrote:When are these tards going to learn to share data with airports?4000islandsguy wrote:Absconded from probation, i think.
As I said in the fugitive thread here, he will not be looked on favorably because he ran and got caught. I am not sure how long he is facing but if any it will not be done in minimum security now. He will even in a county jail now be under ad seg for two reasons 1. flight risk 2. known chomo. Also his online record of denial and complete lack of remorse or accountability is going to work heavily against him. The people OTOF may wish to give the sheriffs office and prosecutors office an email to show his pattern of deceit.
He really should have said nothing at all to anyone especially in online forums. Some people were wondering about if he had his passport issued again. He will be issued a limited passport that is valid only until the day his flight lands in the USA. somebody speculated it may be valid for a month but it won't be a day longer than necessary.

I didn't use the best choice of words. Of course he was on probation but he wasn't actually in violation of his probation until he physically left the country. There was no reason anybody at the airport would have any reason to stop him. I am not saying this is the way it should be. I am saying this is the way it is in reality though.
I was just trying to explain to Vlad why he wasn't stopped I didn't mean to say he hadn't been convicted of a crime. He had a valid passport and ticket and as such in the context of airport personnel being alerted to his departure it would have appeared that everything was in order. This is the reason he was not stopped. Even if there was a warrant, the USA doesn't do checks on people departing. They have taken the policy it seems that they will eventually get caught when they go to renew their passports, which is exactly what happened here.
If it was a matter of serious urgency there would be an APB and all law enforcement would have been put on alert. This person however wasn't being actively pursued so he slipped through.
I hope this makes more sense.

Thank you. That's something we take very seriously on here.4000islandsguy wrote:Edited because of link to copyrighted material.
Wait, wouldn't practically every link on the internet be a link to to copyrighted material?

You mean something like this : "US Man disputes sex crimes after arrest." ?General Mackevili wrote:Thank you. That's something we take very seriously on here.4000islandsguy wrote:Edited because of link to copyrighted material.

Funny that a lot of info in that article seems to have been lifted from K440. Lol. I'm sure they won't mind if we lift a bit more... Cheers guys.
It seems to me that when we link to, or quote part of an article together with the link, that we are promoting their product for free, but that's just IMO of course and please correct me if that seems outrageous.Mr. Erdmann added that he did not know why police might be giving false reports to the media and said that much of what he knew about the situation had come from users of the online community Khmer440.
“I guess,” he said, when asked if he believed his arrest was a case of mistaken identity. “I mean, that’s what everybody’s saying. It seems like people on Khmer440 know more than I do. They are pulling out all this information I have no idea about.”
Mr. Erdmann confirmed that he had been using the handle “sniper_m4” to take part in online conversations on Khmer440.com. In a post on a comment thread about his arrest, he shared a link to a photograph of himself sitting in an open-air area with a meal in front of him and holding up a sign with Saturday’s date.
“How do you upload photos on here? Ill prove im not being jailed or detained,” he wrote in one post...

4000islandguy seems very intelligent. When did this site get smart posters?
I think we may have overestimated the urgency that Oregon has in bringing him back. Erdmann is now posting OTOF from his parent' home in Florida. If appears he's a free man, my guess is that Oregon doesn't want to extradite him there just to probation. The warrant may stand but he won't be arrested until he sets foot in Oregon. But the existence of the Oregon warrant still might cockblock him from getting a new passport issued. Poor guy might have to stay in Florida forever.
