Gavinmac never said anyone is wanted in Oregon.juansweetpotato wrote:From 440 just now

Well, I think we can assume he won't have a job come Monday.
Even if cleared about the sex crimes, he's admitted to theft in the States, and he also admits to not having a valid passport or visa, much less a work permit.
His only saving grace is that he works at Pannasastra University, who might not even care about any of it anyways.
What a clusterfuck.

Who posted the link to that facebook page and said there was someone with the same name wanted in Oregon? I just took your word for it. Are you saying there isn't someone with the same name as him, but 10 years older, wanted for sexual offenses? Or that they have nothing to do with this case ?Cam Nivag wrote:Gavinmac never said anyone is wanted in Oregon.juansweetpotato wrote:From 440 just now

What's going on?

Mutonamh County = Portland, Oregon.
Per Facebook, there's actually an Eric Erdmann in Portland. Looks like a different guy.
https://www.facebook.com/ev.erdmann/pho ... friends_tl
He's not in a wheelchair but he does have a bionic leg it appears.
I have no idea what's going on.
Eric "sniper_m4" Erdmann looks to be from Wisconsin.
I find no records of federal charges against any Eric Erdman or Erdmann, for whatever that's worth.

camnivag, how hard is it for the uS to link sex-offender databases to travel logs? I would think it would be easy. Deliberate omission? Perhaps they simply want other countries to have their dirt?

I guess the sex offender Ardmann absconded somewhere, seemingly Thailand, and the wrong Ardmann got picked up for it when he took his passport for renewal? Maybe that other guy in the FB link isn't the real pedo. But someone else. Maybe the one the General posted. Can we be sure it isn't the Pannasastra guy at least?

Very few expats in Cambodia are clean, but there's a big difference between a visa-dropout-come-scammer and a wanted pedophile who's gone on the lam.General Mackevili wrote:Well, I think we can assume he won't have a job come Monday.

Especially the potential for mob violence.

Ardmann has absconded to an unknown location. This guy had a similar name, was seemingly tracked down by APLE (if his report on 440 is to be believed), and was probably reported to the police, who then raided him for immigration offenses. Somewhere during that, the media thought that he was the pedophile. Probably due to the sloppiness that seems to come with every APLE investigation, including victims withdrawing testimony and faked virginity tests.juansweetpotato wrote:I guess the sex offender Ardmann absconded somewhere, seemingly Thailand, and the wrong Ardmann got picked up for it when he took his passport for renewal? No one has ever explained to me what purpose APLE serves except for doing rudimentary police surveillance and ruining investigations that the police could have done on their own. No one has ever had a bad thing to say about the Friends International associated group that investigates child-related crimes, why is APLE incapable of doing anything without creating a larger problem?

I agree that there's a huge difference, but convictions of theft and having no passport or visa is not something most people would put on their CV.ot mien kampf wrote:Very few expats in Cambodia are clean, but there's a big difference between a visa-dropout-come-scammer and a wanted pedophile who's gone on the lam.General Mackevili wrote:Well, I think we can assume he won't have a job come Monday.
