"My father was a former member of the Khmer Rouge"

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

One could also ask Are you aware that Norway was a neutral country and invaded by Nazi Germany?
Are you aware that almost 4,000 Norwegian sailors were killed during the war? Around half of these ships were torpedoed or bombed. A total of around 10,000 Norwegian men and women died because of the war. Around 700 of these were Jews sent to concentration camps in Germany and Poland.

He rated my post positively without a reply. So I take it you do not believe 6 million Jews died. Sad and obviously no matter what I say would change that fact.

This, I don't even know how to express my level of shock. Hundreds of thousands of ppl all lying he believes? My God... Just when I hear/read/meet someone and think "well, there cannot be anyone more stupid than this one" a year or so later they're trumped. But this one takes the cake.

Hmm. Ok, Why would your grandmother be so embarrassed/ashamed if the Nazis didn't do what the terrible/awful rest of the world is blaming them for?

You asked:
Curious here, Do you believe the Holocaust happened and that roughly 6 million Jews died?
I made the following comment before you edited your post to include questions about the KR.

Look again.

I apologize for not deleting your name from the quotes. You have nothing to do with this I wholeheartedly agree.
Thanks Antony, I appreciate that.
Personal preference; Could I please just give the steering wheel a bit of a nudge, to try and steer back to the original topic - it is a good one.

i.e. Cambodian personal response to the KR history that is still such a powerful influence on Cambodian psych and society today.

Yes, I apologize for my outburst. It is just that when he posts the same thing on another forum and acts surprised that Nazis committed atrocities there as well, I felt the need to confront him. Again, I apologize for my behaviour, this is a very worthwhile thread.

Yes sir, I did not read the comment within your positive rating, which does not give an answer, technically. I also realize now why you do not want to give one.
I too would be embarrassed to let that be a known fact to the world!
Are you daft?!

What seems to be the problem here? You asked, 'do you believe the Holocaust happened and that roughly 6 million Jews died.'

I answered "Yes I do"

I then basically said that is not what this thread is about so not gonna continue with it.

Stop being an idiot.
