Exploitation of Khmer staff

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

You got to love potty's latest tutorials. To her credit she certainly knows a thing or two about making the worst possible choices.

I don't think it got personal until this comment. I said you made a fatuous comment. You spat the dummy and started getting personal, as did Soi Dog. I started this thread to try to get a new, interesting discussion going on YOUR forum, because I felt some of the other threads were turning into boring, old style K440 like arguments, featuring personal attacks. I'm ashamed for your forum, that it turned into what it is now - a boring, old style K440 like, argument featuring personal attacks.
I won't ever make the same mistake again, I assure you.
I'm out of this particular thread now. Hooroo

your old.
Ok ok I start reading the thread but backward.
How can you be consider old at 38 ? Especially in the IT industry ?
I know young people are good at work, but for cold brain work like IT I would choose experience over youth anytime.
The amount of new technologies, new information is huge meaning that in fact having been around a few years is actually a benefice.

The time were the little brother was the computer genius is long gone.

in fact finance and banking are more or less the same. Who want to trust his life saving to someone under 40 ?
Scientific job, engineer, medical profession, hell every profession where you will perform better after 10 or 15 years of professional practice under your belt.

Of course if you have a secretarial job or anything with a relatively limited skill set being young is a big plus as you have more energy to work for your employer.

I never said, its too old to find a job.

but "having been around" for a few years doesn't really cut it.
if you have been at a major site (consultancies, google, apple) or similar stuff, or perhaps worked in some star-projects, then ok... but if you worked at superwebdev, amityville, or so then you can shove it..
imo...

perhaps OD can make clear, as in a virtual interview here, what he will say if anyone asks him, why they should take HIM (without certs or stuff) and NOT the Chicago/Maryland/Wisconsin-Uni guy with one 3-year-permanent web-development-job under his belt...

Why on earth should OD prove anything to you? Who on earth do you think you are? OD has made his life choices and he's the one that has to live with them.
I've read this whole thread and Potty you really need to pull your head in. This thread was about Khmer staff, and I know threads often go off topic but for fucks sake! (Yes, I know, Mrs S said fuck....)

OMGGG!! apologies... !!!

its of course perfectly correct, that nobody asks why OD thinks he is of $120,000 market value, as he claims... in your ...err... $120.00 threat...

ok, back to you paying so much to Khmer stuff..
