Ever get that 9/11 feeling?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

At least he had some respect from most countries, though I'm no big fan of his.

I think Murika was less disliked under Bama than it is under Frump.

Bama I could respect, overall. Frump, no way.
Obama wins!

And being "liked" doesn't improve your country, LoL.
Again, you're right, General. Trump's got a big mouth and isn't "Diplomatic" by any stretch of the imagination but he does more than talk- he actually tries to get things down. I consider his cutting funding for the UN by $250 million annually to be a great move. What a useless organisation and total waste of US tax payer's money.
Yes. far better to spend it on bombs to drop on hospitals in Syria. Fact is most americnas never leave their country. only about half have passports and they know shit about how the world works. Its like having a big bully running around in the playground. trump is the biggest threat to world peace since adolf hitler

What would be funnier would be if China cut of all aid to the US by stopping buying the bonds you need to service your debt for your military

On a personal level, I think that would be the best thing that could ever happen to the US. We never needed China to begin with. Bring manufacturing back to the US and it's a done deal. And China can do whatever it wants with its fake economy. In the end they'll be the ones who lose out and not us.

China got rich by providing cheap goods to people in the west. American and all other economies could not produce competitively because of the way "democratic" countries structure their companies. in a nutshell the average citizen could not afford a local poroduced fridge because the company had to pay directors and shareholders amongst others. Now you would be surprised to find how much of your American made car is actuiallt produced in china or mexice. Everything from the steel, the tyres, rubber seals and nuts and bolts.if you made every single part of a car using locally produced materials and labour a ford would cost as much as a rolls Royce. Admittedly America has the raw materials to do it, but americans will not work for what Chinese and Mexicans wil. it is the rich corporations and businesmne like trump, who imported all the cheap labour and crap. How many American made fridges are in trump hotels? American bed klined? American cleaning staff?

Yeah, I'd be really surprised. Only worked in the auto-parts industry for 15 years and know transmissions and many other parts of many makes and models like the back of my hands. But thanks for the valuable information anyway.

And Australia is following the USA down the same path. Exporting bulk coal, iron ore, bauxite, gas, agriculture products ,, then buying them back as a cheap Chinese junk.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

there wont be an election in Thailand in my lifetime
HE will win in 2018 ( and the next one) and than his son will take over
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Don’t agree with 1 or 3.

I think trump will serve a full term but not re-elected in 2020.
Agreed. There will be no election in Thailand for the foreseeable future.
Half agree, HE will win in 2018 and start the handover process to the son who will lead the charge in the following election, with daddy’s support and campaigning.
