Ever been Banged Up?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Got banged up twice for possession in Cairns Nth Qld because broke both community service orders, got banged up in the outback 'Yarraba jail', for taking a plank of wood to my neighbor as he was beating shit out of his dog, 90% Aboriginal, they let them grow weed as it kept them calm!, got banged up in Amsterdam for vagrancy, got banged up Bangkok for 2 nights for flicking a cigarette but, copper saw me showed me the 2000 baht littering fine sign, I picked the butt up along with others stuck em in my pocket, still wanted the 2000, I drunkenly told him to fuck off and refused to pay, I only had 900 anyway, came horribly close to Pray Sor twice, if not for a man I know and love dearly, my cousins husband was on the first series of Banged up abroad,Scott White, Kuwait, he was only 18, stitched up on a hash deal, told my cousin and his family to not visit him anymore, he was going to top himself, 2 days later Iraqi troops came over the border, the jailors opened the cells and told everyone to run for there lives, he trapsed thru the desert with a Chinese mass murderer until they found a road and where picked up by a Sudanese family fleeing who got then into Suadi, Sadam saved his life, to this day has a big picture of him in his house.

Somebody asked if that was people claiming to be innocent or actually innocent - I honest feel they're innocent, or at least guilty of much lesser charges that wouldn't have involved incarceration.

I've been given a heads-up that my post has been copied verbatim to TOF for their entertainment and ridicule. I guess at least if the monkeys are flinging their shit at me they're leaving some other schmuck alone for a change. Sad little individuals are all bar-stool lawyers, or at least think they know a criminal lawyer.

That was my favourite ride.

It was a 1997 Legend...less chrome than the Thunderbird and I could strip it down and work on it, not like today's computer driven machines. Only real problem were the spark plugs. Almost impossible to reach so a hand made plug remover was in order.

Also, the wife found it comfortable which is important. She did not like my next and last bike...a Pan European. Too big for her.

Clarification please - you think he sounds like Batshit while Batshit is on a bad trip, or you think he sounds like he's on a bad trip, while listening to Batshit? :stir:

I’ve smuggled rubies, emeralds, gold, uncut diamonds, platinum, and iron pyrite in and out of Switzerland, Columbia, Costa Rica, and Portugal. I have smuggled many, many kilograms of hash, hashish, hash oil, THC, MDA, yaba, shabu, methamphetamines, morphine, ecstasy, and airplane glue into and out of Afganistan, Alaska, Russia, and Myanmar. Never, ever once been caught or even frisked or questioned. The secret is being clean cut and don't look like a hippie, a yippie, or even a hipster. Wear the most expensive suit and tie that gem and precious metals and drug smuggling money can buy. And yes, I have banged a broad abroad. Richard you don’t know what you are talking about, I still do these activities nowadays.

Sweet. My last ride in Australia, and one of the things I found hardest selling up and leaving behind:

Mrs Stroppy has a gut-level terror of being on bikes, so it was only ever me, but riding the highways in the Australian outback is something you never forget.

What really hurt was that this became some rich kid's first bike! He got his restricted license on a mate's bike, and then waited out until he could ride unlimited. It just ain't right!

well i have been told i dont know shit an all my info is bad but

in most jails if u have $$ u can buy yourself a certain level of comfort;
u cant in Japan. ur forced to bow to guards, never allowed to sit down while in ur cell unless its time to sleep, forced to march everywhere, cold as all get out in the winter.
the jap jails are the same as when they held POW's during the war,
for those i know that spent time in one and had been in India or Nepal jails all agreed India, Nepal was much better.

as to caption "claiming" he still smuggles,
he's got balls bigger than i ever had, i'd never try the things i did in the 70-90's nowadays and no one i know that went thru the 70-90's in asia doing the shit we did, (that is still alive) does anymore.
we have all moved on

Only the big boys are moving quantity out of SE asia and never by carriers, only a true sap would try it nowadays or someone figuring his luck wont run out.

I do know one group wants carriers moving X in liquid form Amsterdam to Japan, pay is $10,000/kilo
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

With your vast experience about everything I wonder if you could be troubled to pop over to the UK and help them out of the Brexit situation.
Jealous?

fuck the ukk,
hey, no reason to comment to me on any of my posts again.
u made it to my ignore list :beer3:
my comments were not for you really they were for the other people on the forum. Gold in the 1970s is hardly worth anything yes there was a mark up if you took it across to India but this was fairly small.

taking 50 kilos or whatever the amount you said from Amsterdam to Switzerland is a strange route to take as well as most of the hashish coming into Europe goes through Spain,so another reason for me to be suspicious about your statements.
Plus I don't think you really have me on ignore.
You would be referring to the latter Moroccan leb shit. But for the best cream of creams I think you would be a long way off the mark.
The old silk route of years past were the overland journeys from Asia of opiate laced world class Ganj. When production or needs cessed the home growers began to experiment in growing so many strains of Skunk.
The times in the early 90's I would travel extensively in India, favouring, Kerala and Manali, you know the places you know why, also areas you wouldn't think or dream of going. I have spent many time with the Aghori around the Ganga. Manali was favourable with its climate and excellent black. Also the main reason to be there was the climbing in the lower Himalaya. Friends, climbing partners would arrive by plane and overland via Pakistan, all on different time scale for the agenda. Visa runs I would do in Sri Lanka. But during and after we would trek in and out of Nepal (no visa) but that seemed un-important to what we would be carrying after meeting the mule-trains after 10 days trek and the hard returning with 60kilo of Nepalese best in our backpacks. After time I knew the time had come and I had thought what will I do in my own country once I return! I went back to school and became a qualified outdoor instructor.
A past friend favoured Pakistan, he did 2 years prison when trying to sail his boat out of the country with 10kilo of ash onboard. He passed away in Cambodia, he had shown me how to make oil here with this weed, and I tell all now it maybe a shit smoke. But there is a large quantity of quality oil in that shit.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
