Epic fail....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I add it to the butter: it takes a higher temperature without burning like butter. Butter adds more flavor however.

Thanks for the compliment.

Most of the EVOO in Cambodia is not very good. You want to get your mitts onto something like this:

I render all my own fats, Lard from pork, and Tallow from beef. I cook/fry everything in animal fats since I have discovered that fat is a healthy food source. (and makes your pants fall off) I do use unsalted butter in my Bullet Proof Coffee in the mornings but otherwise don't use it much, as I also don't eat bread/carbs. The odd time if I have a lean roast I might put some butter on the slices, with some creamed cheese.

Making the BPC is as easy as 1,2,3.

Before, I used my wand blender but when the blade broke, I discovered that I could make this in a mason (canning) jar and just shake it vigorously for 30 seconds. (I love keeping everything as simple as possible, so now I prefer this method as it gives me equally good results as you can see in the photos)

1. Put ingredients in mason jar with a tight fitting lid:

1 each, generous TBSP unsalted butter and coconut oil.
3-4 TBSP of heavy whipping cream
1/4 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Cacao Powder

2. Brew and add coffee.
Make sure the jar is not more than 2/3 full.

3. Tighten lid and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.

Pour out rich creamy emulsified deliciousness and enjoy.
(p.s. something was fucked up (formatting) in this post, I tried to fix it as good as possible, but it is what it is.)
