Is "Emoji-Censoring" the News Even Worse Than Random Pixelation ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Help! Is this the future of Khmer news photos ?
Random pixelation is already a 'thing', but it could get even worse with emoji-censor-smilie-faces : general-chatter/what-this-photo-t44813.html

Yes.
Random pixelation provided a curiosity. This is simply painful.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

Trivializing crime reporting. Good job!
As bad as the written reports are, this just makes a joke of the whole thing.

What's with the Playboy bunny tattoos? Hmm, maybe these guys are members of rival shadow puppet gangs.

It's cringe, but honestly I think the embarrassing nature of it all will make the police up their game to do some actual police reporting worth a damn, so not necessarily bad in the long run.

Almost no one changes when you criticize them, but when you publicly embarrass them...

Emoji censoring is funny on boobs or a crotch, but seems disrespectful in police mugshots.

Tonight's emoji photo is particularly poignant, because if you look at the cap lying on the table for long enough, it ressembles a dead carp.
