DUI Checkpoint spotted!!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

All the more reason to just secure yourself a tuktuk driver you can rely on and who gives you a solid price and use him for pretty much all of your transportation needs while you just chill in the back and play games on your phone.

They set these up quite often outside Toul Kork. I just join the fellow drunks, meth dealers and gun runners by driving around them. Sometimes I give a confused look of sympathy and a shrug to the cop with the plastic lightsabre.

"SQUF said:reading about this in Khmer news."

shit you got one who can READ!

shes a keeper.

about that smacking with the red lens torch when you blow past them; you can usually feint and decoy them into hitting your mirror. hopefully with their knuckles.
key is to turn INTO their approach- you have to gauge it finely.
throws their swing out.
serves as a lesson to them.
last time it happened to me the cop started laughing hysterically.
i like cambodians.

i normally drive on the inside lane behind a truck though.
they don't confidently step out in front of those.

I've had a whole range of emotions displayed as I slowly drove around cops trying to pull me over. He he. Good advice. I like the detail.

Normally during night time and somewhere close to drinking and boozing areas i guess.

I saw one being set up tonight. Exact same spot as my OP. A lot of police. Not traffic.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...
