Khmers can be pretty gullible. I told some Khmer woman once that the Rhino is a distant relative of the unicorn, she believed me.
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

If ever asked where I'm from ( very rarely ) I earnestly reply that I'm from New Zealand & that I rode my bicycle to Phnom Penh .It took 4 days riding ,this ' white lie' answer/response is nearly always received with a charming smile or vacant head nodding.
I kid you not comrades.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Not sure if Khmer are ‘gullible’ or just Khmer public education doesn’t cover the western background in geography and zoology. There are no community colleges in the Kingdom of Wonder for Khmer to learn Western Civilization or World Geography.
Ask a Khmer how long it will take from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, get a concrete answer. To them places like New Zealand exist in a magic hole somewhere. Foreigners arrive from the magic hole and then leave back to the magic hole. It takes less than a few days to cross Cambodia, so New Zealand is just beyond Cambodia, so four days sound about right.
Ask any Khmer about giants and they are very knowledgeable. Giant fly, have powerful magic, can transform into man and woman, can change size and shape at will.
Bleach is very effective at killing the coronavirus on all sorts of surfaces. It also kills human tissue as well.
Sorry to wander off topic.

It's not just the Khmers who are gullible. In the UK, a London church is making a killing out of selling a bottle of oil and some red yarn to true believers for over US$100 a kit to protect the user from COVID-19.
Coronavirus: Camberwell church continuing to sell fake Covid-19 cure
14 minutes ago
A church in London has continued selling a fake Covid-19 cure, despite being under investigation by the charity watchdog.
The Charity Commission launched a probe into the Kingdom Church, in south London, earlier this month for selling coronavirus "protection kits".
But instead of stopping the sale, the church renamed the kits and is now selling "divine cleansing oil".
The church said it was "convinced" the oil cured Covid-19.
Bishop Climate Wiseman, of the Kingdom Church which is based in Camberwell, claimed his kits - a bottle of oil and some red yarn, priced at £91 - would protect his followers from the virus.
When the story came to light, the Charity Commission, which regulates charities in England and Wales, as well as Trading Standards launched an investigation into the church for selling the fake cure.
But BBC London, posing as a customer this week, found the church was still selling so-called "divine cleansing oil" which it says prevents and cures Covid-19 if taken three times a day.
In secretly-recorded conversations, BBC London was told the oil would work if inhaled via a towel or hot water in a bowl.
An employee of the Kingdom Church said on the phone: "We are helping the nation.
"We are convinced this cures coronavirus. We have sold nearly 2,000 of these."
