Yep i agree; REAL expats want to work for $10 /day....real expats who actually need money to survive , he says ten a day is the minimum and i agree.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Cambodia isn't for everyone, it works for some and not others. If it doesn't groove for you maybe Thailand will instead? Most people look for the good in a country, then leave when they've had enough.bkktrapper wrote:The death-pats , meth-pats, hippies and drunkards and happy to do so.phuketrichard wrote:Yep i agree; REAL expats want to work for $10 /day....real expats who actually need money to survive , he says ten a day is the minimum and i agree.
Seriously, no point bitching cos you spent all your money and had to go begging some other Westerner who has 'made it', unlike you.
Just get over it! It takes determination and capital investment to get a business running in Cambodia, and you probably have little understanding about everything that is involved and the risks of losing everything to locals and corrupt banks.
Stop moaning, and move on!

I used to work in one of Cambodia most popular expat bars and the pay was great plus the benefits of free motorbike , food, booze were great I never bitched about that but I do get upset when some stingy boss wont give his staff the tips at the end of a 10 hour bartending shift .shnoukieBRO wrote:Cambodia isn't for everyone, it works for some and not others. Re: Dont be a slave
to each his own but I considered 500 USD a month plus access to free booze and being in the position to meet a different bird every night without paying a dime is pricelessphuketrichard wrote:curious what u consider great pay?..and the pay was great plus the benefits of free motorbike

Move to the US. You can make $15/hour working at McDonald's. No skills or experience required.bkktrapper wrote:Alli can say it was a good bar with good management and nice friendly clientele.shnoukieBRO wrote:Which bar was that, and why did u leave?
