Re: US dollar bills in Cambodia
One of the quieter CEO posters had to bail his missus out recently (actually, he had to bribe the cops to write up the charges so he could pay a fine) as she'd gone to the money changer with a wad of hundreds, the money changer had switched one of the notes for a temple note, and then started screeching for the cops. There is zero chance this lady handed over a dodgy note, and 100% chance the money changer and local cop were in on this together (IMO). What an absolute nonsense. After the bribe/fine were paid, there was still no sign of the real hundred, so let's add that to the scam.

So, that basically rules out 99% of all circulated currency in Cambodia then? Your suggestion would certainly make it difficult to shop here!wackyjacky wrote:Accept no older, stained, or written on bills.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
