Meh. Money will run out way before then. Let's see how scared everyone is in a few months...aggro wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 5:59 pmInternational travel might start to return to normal in late 2022, maybe.Cambo Dear wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 5:49 pm We were hoping to go early next year, but until the restrictions have been lifted, there is no point. At some point, there will have to be a return to business as normal or economies will collapse. We would come and spend a fair bit as we haven't been for a couple of years; I'm sure we're not the only ones.
Come back to this post in 2 years and see if I was correct.

Luckily you can stalk young girls on Facebook, no matter where you are.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

I think its quite the opposite JB, now with less tourists the bag sniffers seem to out in force. Sitting along riverside on any given afternoon, they seem to be everywhere.John Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:44 pm Cambodia is great now. The snowbirds and blow ins have rapidly disappeared.
Honestly, its as if the fruitcakes that had semi controllable habits pre-Rona now possibly due to lack of funds have now taken to sniffing god knows what from a bag. To make things worse, they also seem to be venturing out more.
On topic: OP, the original post was pretty hopeless, I am from Melbourne mate and have no bloody idea what you were on about!
I read it as in you where in Aus looking to get out.
Dude, if you are in Cambodia and enjoying then stay!
If you want to go back to Aus then do it!
If you do go back and later decide you want to visit Cambo again but its turns out its to expensive or difficult then don’t.
I just don’t see why you need to open a thread about it, I mean surly you knew you will cop some flack considering your other posts.
Pointless post, therefore this is a pointless response!
@JB I may have misinterpreted the meaning of snowbird, if so apologies

Fuckin' A.explorer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:20 am I can live happily in Australia, and don't need to come to Cambodia. For years I have been having long visits to Cambodia. If next time I would come to Cambodia, if it is difficult, I will stay in Australia. That is, if quarantine is still necessary, if a deposit needs to be paid, if insurance is necessary, if getting a visa is difficult, or if flights are too expensive.
I know some of you have jobs and/or families in Cambodia, so you want to be in Cambodia.
But I think, the majority of people who would come to Cambodia, are more like me. So unless they make it easy, very few people will come to Cambodia.

Now I'm not in Australia, I miss the vast ,relatively unpolluted bush ,the thousands of miles of pristine coastline & not being over charged for everyday purchases. In Australia ,there's just 1 price for all ,locals pay the same as foreign visitors. You are extremely unlikely to get ripped off when buying something and if the product is faulty its straight toward to get a refund or exchange. The authorities are %98 uncorruptible and you don't need to pay to obtain police attendance ,or children to get educated at the local school, etc. Its not called " the lucky country " for nothing .

But pineapples are more expensive in Australia than in Cambodia if I remember rightly. And they don't cut all the bits out for you.StephenJimSowten wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 9:29 pm Now I'm not in Australia, I miss the vast ,relatively unpolluted bush ,the thousands of miles of pristine coastline & not being over charged for everyday purchases. It's not called the "lucky country" at all as far as I know. Maybe in PNG. Fuck knows but I've never heard any country called that, let alone that one that's 99% bare rock.StephenJimSowten wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 9:29 pm Its not called " the lucky country " for nothing .
