Didn't think we'd see it

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Nice photo but the moon always looks disappointing in photos when compared to real life. Especially photos taken on mobile phone cameras. It looks like you've zoomed in or cropped it to try and make it more similar to how it appeared to you, which works, but ideally you need a telephoto lens which is why mobile phone cameras, with their typically wide-angled lenses are not very good at this sort of photography.

I don't care about the lens today. I don't care tonight about that bloody building right there in front of all our faces on that formally beautiful point..
I just want to be there.

Thanks Atts, for that evocative bittersweet shot.

Been to the moon in real life, huh? Interesting. Been on the Dark Side, perhaps?

I recall it was originally meant to be a single building but when they did further tests they found the effects of 3 major confluences on thet point of land made it not viable - hence now 3 buildings and I wouldnt trust any of them

I would.
The building company (LBL) and the customer (Sokha) being pretty serious people, i can't imagine them taking risks on this operation.
Easier to trust them than a rough photo by night from distance without proper zoom anyway.

Now, about the other builders from the grrrreat country up north, i wouldn't touch their buidings, even with a stick. They come and go and clearly don't give a shit about any issues past completion date, which is late at best.
