Dave Does Cambodia needs your help

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

He does seem like he has had a few beers though, which is fine but not when you are begging for money.
At least he is doing it up front and personal unlike GoFundMe.

I don't have a lot of money spare (some land in SHV and cash) but to be in your 60s with zero access to funds is scary.
Nice guy. Hope he makes it back to the US. Being below the income level, he qualifies for food support, free phone, section 8 housing, utilities assistance, Medicaid, and Medicare and so much more.

It’s tough to survive in Cambodia without money.

For some reason I thought you were against all those programs. Or you only don't like them when a black or brown person has access to them?

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Availability and funding of public benefit programs varies by state. For example, some states expanded Medicare, and some didn't.

During Covid times, programs like food stamps, phones and utilities (including internet access subsidies) got juiced up with funding at the federal level.

Another option is to enter the USA at southern border and claim to be from another country … he would get free everything … only catch is have to vote blue once the figure out how to give undocumented people voting rights.

Unless you plan on living past age 79, age 62 is a good time to start collecting, especially if you aren’t working.
