Dave Does Cambodia needs your help

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Dime a dozen in SE Asia.
He does seem like he has had a few beers though, which is fine but not when you are begging for money.
At least he is doing it up front and personal unlike GoFundMe.

I don't have a lot of money spare (some land in SHV and cash) but to be in your 60s with zero access to funds is scary.

I bet you London to a brick with the cost of living becoming prohibitive for many in the west there's a few more to come searching for a sEa change.

Kenr wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2024 7:39 am At the beginning of the video is he saying that he has about a year and a half to start getting his “own employment” or “unemployment”?
Is he referring to his pension from the US?

It looks like he has some $$$ now, but what about next month?

A slippery slope indeed.

I have absolutely no idea. It sounded like he said unemployment, but he could have misspoken and meant social security, which he could start collecting at 62.

I can offer everyone a 50% saving, just send me $5 instead of the $10 he's asking for.
There comes a time when a sensible person makes a decision on what they are going to do, and that time is way, way before you have zilch money left.

From reading the responses to his video-- it seems he has helped people in the past.
Many seem happy to help him.

After a couple of hundred YouTube videos people get a general idea what type of person your are. He has always come across as a genuine guy. If it weren't for him I would have never discovered AinC, and for that I am eternally grateful.
