No, usually it's the other way around. Another red flag. Most traditional Khmer girls will opt for an older male partner.

I went to some khmer wedding, the wedding rings I saw, always seem to cost more than 9000$ . Like the bigger the better (the D...iamond of course)

And yes, that's a crazy amount of red flags, especially if she plays to "traditional good girl" card.

Yes. She can get 90% back immediately. They will probably split your $5000 and take $2500 each. The sister gets her $4000 back and makes 62.5% profit and your girlfriend earns $2500 for the hassle.

Yes. Cambodian culture is conservative and those who follow it act like you have described. For example I was dating a girl for 6 months and didn't get to see her boobs once. You see why it didn't last longer.

I am good friends with multiple people involved in the diamond trade here and it is not true. Prices depend on the size, shape, color, clarity, cut, polish and symmetry of the stone. Serious diamond dealers are not shy to share this information about a stone because they are proud to prove authenticity. Like with other things, there are many fake diamonds coming out of places like China, and serious sellers will answer questions that prove authenticity and value.
