Sorry, but I do not want my GF to talk like a bar girl and will correct her when she does.

I think you can misunderstand if you don't understand the language usage. I think all what your gf spoke English in Khmer way, just make fun with her bf. I also laughed when I read it. It seems good in your relationship.

No need to apologise, we forgive you! Your credit is pretty good after the Garage beer episode.hanno wrote:Sorry, but I do not want my GF to talk like a bar girl and will correct her when she does.
I also correct my wife, but I do it in moderation/ gently, otherwise I will demoralise her.
There are many of us making mistakes, too.
Proof: explain the difference between ' will' and ' be going to' for the future.
As Einstein noted, if you can't explain it, you don't understand it properly.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

How does that affect his credit? It probably improves it, if anything.BOFH wrote:You weren't even there.vladimir wrote:No need to apologise, we forgive you! Your credit is pretty good after the Garage beer episode.

My wife has picked up more of my style of speech than anything. For example:-
At the start of an argument: I'm telling you now.....
She doesn't know something: I have no idea...
Guests also comment on her *British* accent and the way she speaks has a little bit of a cockney to it but I can't hear it myself of course.
