Perhaps the Chinese can sue the Italians for stealing noodles and calling the spaghetti.

All the fish and chip shops in Oz are run by Greeks and Italians, or at least they used to be. Probably taken over by Indians now.

Greeks, Turks and sometimes Chinese in the UK. The Indians all do fried chicken shops when not making curries nobody in India eats.Username Taken wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:19 am All the fish and chip shops in Oz are run by Greeks and Italians, or at least they used to be. Not sure why the guy in the article had a dig at Mexicans, as they weren't the ones complaining. Portland does seem to have a lot of race issues.

Chinese families took over most Melbourne fish and chip shops in the '00s. I guess the kids of the Greek and Italian families that ran them didn't want to spend 7 days a week elbow deep in chip oil like their parents.Username Taken wrote:All the fish and chip shops in Oz are run by Greeks and Italians, or at least they used to be. The chinese couldn't cook a bloody (culturally appropriated) Aussie dim sim to save their life..
Many now closed, last time I went back. Fish and chips aren't on-trend nowadays. Class-appropriation is in though. You'll find $45 versions on menus all over the place.

Jim Goad has been writing pretty much what he likes since the Answer Me! magazines he produced in the early 90s. He thrives on controversy, some of his stuff is funny though.cptrelentless wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2017 3:45 pm
